Significantly reduce the time it takes to identify bat species in your recordings.
Kaleidoscope Pro Bat Auto-ID uses clustering technology and data from thousands of recordings that have been identified and reviewed by experts.
GENERATE REPORTS
Kaleidoscope Pro presents Bat Auto-ID results along with metadata such as call parameters, timestamps, and temperature in a table that's easily exported into Excel.
Bat Auto-ID classifiers are currently available for species in North America, Europe, South Africa, and the Neotropics.* You can look at our cross-validation Classifier Performance Table for the scope of our training data and the areas where species with similar calls may be confused.
*We are continually developing new classifiers as well as improving existing ones. Though we do not yet have classifiers for the Australasian region, we are actively looking for verified bat calls from experts and welcome submissions at goodgear@faunatech.com.au.
Note: While Bat Auto-ID is powerful, it is not 100% accurate, as different species of bats can make similar sounds, noise can interfere with a clear recording, and environmental contexts can make automated ID difficult. Customers should always manually verify a suggested ID. In full transparency, we published a Classifier Performance Table to illustrate the accuracy of our classifiers and which species may be confused with others.
