1.3.3 (2024-05-08)
  • Fix an issue whereby the Voltage is not getting displayed on the Devices page on some SMART Controllers
  • Feature: Add a Hold Period setting for Pass/Pulse alarms on the SCADA tab. This parameter indicates the time that alarms are held active before clearing, separate from the "Pass/Pulse Period". The alarm will stay active for at least the "Pass/Pulse Alarm Hold" period.

1.3.1 (2024-03-14)
  • In addition to updates from v1.2.5:
  • Version 1.3.1 adds support for OPC UA Communications with client applications as a means to retrieve system information and subscribe to bat pass/pulse alarms. A full description is available in the SMART OPC UA User Guide Addendum.
  • Adds a new utility smart-bat-sim as a test tool to simulate bat pass/pulse alarms. See the man-page after installing for usage details.
  • Change email address displays in the Administration and Maintenance pages to allow for easier viewing when there are multiple addresses.
  • Adds a new option Keep Drive Mounted to the Maintenance page. When enabled, then a connected USB drive will remain mounted after maintenance tasks have completed.

1.2.5 (2024-02-27)
  • Add 'Duration' as an Alarm Filter criteria variable. "Duration” is the length in seconds of the detected event.

  • Provide access to the latest calibration measurement of the mics.
The calibration values will be shown in the device table of both the daily maintenance email and the smart-daily-log.txt file.

  • Add the device prefix to results.csv and log.txt file names to distinguish from other devices’ files.

  • Add a checkbox for "night mode" for file downloads.
When filtering files to download on the Date Files tab, setting the “night mode” checkbox adjusts the time filter such that files starting from noon on the selected day are considered. Without night mode, midnight is used.

  • Add hook script execution after maintenance activities are complete.
By placing a shell script “daily-hook.sh” in the /var/www/html/storage directory, the system will run this script at completion of other tasks in the maintenance window. This enables customers to run custom tasks as needed.

1.2.3 (2023-06-19)
  • Fixes an issue where microphones go idle when the internal hard disk reaches 95% full. Now microphones will continue to stream for analysis but no new .wav or .zc files will be created until the disk storage is reduced.
  • Adds a "Create diagnostics dump file" button on the "Maintenance" tab to create dump.zip diagnostic file in logs. This file contains the last 1000 lines of journal logs from smart services, timestamp with configured timezone, and all the SMART configuration files. It can then be downloaded from the "Data" tab and sent to the Wildlife Acoustics support team.
11.7 (2023-05-26)
  • Adds a “Disable when heater is on” option on the Settings Profiles Tab to disable analysis of signals while the heater is turned on. This will prevent false triggers in situations where a noisy power supply introduces noise through the heater.
  • Adds a "Qual" bat call parameter to SMART alarm criteria.
  • Improves GUANO metadata in recordings to include additional information such as which microphone sensor is being used, if the heater is on, etc.
  • Explicitly disables auto-updates of the Controller’s Ubuntu operating system.
  • Changes the default settings profile to disable the heater.
1.1.6 (2023-05-01)
  • Fixed a conflict when using SCADA alarms simultaneously with Serial outputs.
  • Fixed "Clear Settings" button on the SCADA tab of the web interface.
1.1.4 (2023-03-21)
  • Added a user-defined script hook to microphone calibration events.
  • Fixed a potential problem where a communications error on one microphone in a multi-microphone system might not recover automatically.
1.1.3 (2023-02-20)
  • Added user-defined script hook to SCADA alarm events.
1.1.2 (2022-02-16)
  • Added per-pulse and per-pass alarm descriptions to the SCADA page for logging.
  • Added a global log file to track SCADA/Modbus alarm activity.
  • Changed the SCADA page and documentation nomenclature around alarms for clarity.
  • The Data page can now access global log files as well as per-microphone log files.
1.1.1 (2022-12-21)
  • Fix problem with Auto-ID species codes output as random characters in results.csv file.
