Learn to use Kaleidoscope Pro to analyse bat recordings and provide automatic species ID estimations. We'll examine how Bat Auto-ID works (and how it can make mistakes) and discuss how to manage results for predictable and reliable use. Finally, learn how to use manual vetting in combination with Bat Auto-ID. We'll use the FREE download of Kaleidoscope ("Lite") and provide sample recordings for you to play along in class.
Learn the basics of working with bird, amphibian, and other acoustic recordings in Kaleidoscope. We'll use our free Kaleidoscope "Lite" software to explore how sound tells a story and how to capture that information through manual and automated analysis. Learn how to manage your files and examine them as sonograms. Upon completion, you'll have the foundation for higher-level classes on cluster analysis, classifiers, SPL analysis, and acoustic index analysis. We'll provide sample recordings for you to play along in class.
